With a gold badge, uniform, gun belt and gun Ron Parsley began his career as a deputy sheriff for the Butler County Sheriffs Office in Hamilton, Ohio.
They had very few officers and none of the technology that today's officers enjoy. They did not have bullet proof vests. There were no backup officers if you were on a dangerous call, other than Mr. Smith and Mr. Wesson and they could talk very loud - six times without reloading.
