AMERICA'S BALLPARKS, Kenneth Hogan, 2003

Many books have been written about baseball stadiums, but none are as inclusive as this one.

It contains photos, stadium data (team, date built, date opened, date closed, date demolished, seating capacity, dimensions, turf, world series and all-star gamnes played), plus a written history of each of 76 major league stadiums.

Twenty-five percent of proceeds of this book will go to the New York Police and Fire Widow's and Children's Benefit Fund. This organization, established in 1985 by former New York Mets all-star Rusty Staub, provides for the families of firefighters and police officers killed in the line of duty.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR:
Ken Hogan is a New York City firefighter, and obviously in love with our national pastime.

He is also the author of the book "The Old Firehouse", published in 1994. This much sought-after, but unfortunately long out-of-print book, showed photos and gave a brief history of FDNY firehouses that had been replaced or vacated.

8 1/2" x 11', 184 pages, 275 photos (mostly color), hardcover, ISBN: 1-932129-44-8, BA9034 / $34.95
