DUNDAS FIRE DEPT. HISTORY,
THROUGH THE YEARS 1833-1997,
Colin Johnson, 1997

Fire department history buffs will certainly want to add this fine new book to their collection.

Organized on January 9, 1833 as a volunteer department, the Dundas (Ontario) Fire Department has grown through the years becoming a paid, well-equipped department. This is more than just a history book. Anecdotes are told of the members of the department, many pictures show the equipment, firefighters and major fires.

An interesting fact is that the author of the book, Fire Chief Colin Johnson, was a firefighter for 31 years (including 10 years in Great Britain), prior to his appointment as the Dundas chief.
