POLICE CARS - Restoring, Collecting & Showing America's Finest Sedans, Jim Post & Ed Sanow, 2001

Finally, here is a How-To guide to restoring the 4-door police sedan.

The police car hobby has grown dramatically over the past decade. Each year, there are four major police car shows across the country and countless smaller, regional shows. Many private citizens and police departments alike have restored or attempted to restore a police car for civic or show purposes, but even many police officers don't know how to do it the "right" way. Our hobby is a combination of not only the car, but also the emergency equipment and the police heritage itself.

This book fills a definite need for a book on the restoration of police cars. Police cars are a unique breed and their restoration can be much more difficult than the regular marques. Since most police cars were low-end 4-door sedans, reproduction restoration can be hard to find and the specialized emergency equipment and markings needed for a restoration are even more difficult to research and locate.
