About the Author:
Following in the footsteps of his father, John Rieth was hooked on fire apparatus at the age of 9. He began taking photographs at this age and has continued to this day.
He went on to receive an Associate Degree in Fire Science and a Bachelor of Fire Service Management. Today he is an Observer for the Forest Fire Service of New Jersey and an active member of several volunteer fire departments.
John is the co-author of Jersey Shore Fire Apparatus Volume I and has contributed many articles and photographs to various fire apparatus related publications including Fire Apparatus Journal.
