WILDLAND FIRE FIGHTING FOR STRUCTURAL FIREFIGHTERS, 4th ed., IFSTA, 2003

This book was written specifically for firefighters whose primary focus is fighting structure fires, but who are also responsible for protecting wildland and wildland/urban interface areas.
This comprehensive text addresses all levels of NFPA 1051, Standard for Wildland Firefighter Professional Qualifications (2002 edition), and is consistent with the training standards of the National Wildfire Coordinating Group (NWCG). It replaces IFSTA’s Wildland 3rd edition.
The book includes a laminated pocket card listing the 18 “Watch Out!” Situations, 10 Standard Fire Orders, Common Denominators on Tragedy Fires, and LCES (Lookouts, Communications, Escape Routes, and Safety Zones). It is illustrated with hundreds of photographs and drawings.
