This Workbook is designed as a companion to Hazardous Materials Response and Operations and is to be used by the student.
The questions are set up by chapter and follow the text as well as the lecture provided by the instructor.
The format of this Workbook provides a variety of questions and includes scenarios to be discussed. These scenarios can be assigned as homework or can be used as group activities in the classroom.
In most cases all of the questions can be answered by using the textbook, but there are some questions whose answers are specific to the responder’s home area. In most cases all of the information needed to do these exercises is included in the Workbook, although the reader may need to refer back to the textbook for various tables, placards, and other information not duplicated here.
As HAZMAT instruction builds on a basic concept followed by a more advanced concept, the reader should complete the questions in each chapter after completing the chapter in the text. Waiting until the reader finishes the entire textbook before diving into the Workbook may be overwhelming and is not recommended.
