The Kansas City Police Historical Society was founded in October of 2004 to preserve the history of the Kansas City, Missouri Police Dept. Their purpose is to preserve items and stories of historical significance, educate the public about the department's long and rich history, and honor those who have served the community throughout history as members of the police department. Their efforts have produced Kansas City Police Department 1874-2011: Serving for Over 135 Years.
