$19.95
On July 22, 1991 the Worcester Fire Department battled a fast moving five alarm blaze at the historic Worcester State Hospital.

More than 100 Worcester firefighters were assisted by mutual aid from the Grafton, Millbury, Shrewsbury, Sterling, Holden, Northborough, Auburn, Leicester and West Boylston fire departments.

Watch the continuous action in this video beginning with the videographer enroute to Worcester from Oxford where he was filming another fire at Webber Lumber Home center.

At about 2:30 PM, Worcester Fire strikes a box for the Worcester State Hospital on Belmont Street. During the first eight minutes of the video you ride with the videographer as he responds to the scene capturing the dramatic radio communications from the firefighting operations on scene.

During the first few minutes you will see a black screen as the videographer is enroute to Worcester and only hear radio transmissions. You will hear Worcester Car 1 call for the fourth alarm at 2:40 PM.

This video will take you back to that day with one of Worcester's largest fires.
