The assignment books for Brooklyn and Manhattan were in use for a few years, being replaced by the familiar 10" x 6" card.

This card was issued on December 12, 1928.

Of significance is that Rescue 2 reponds on the second alarm. They had apparently been established some time between 1925 and 1928.

Also note that the column in the assignment book: "To Supply Fuel", is replaced with "GOW" - gas and oil wagon.
