We would like to pass along the following to anyone anxious to help East Coast Firefighters and Departments in need related to Hurricane Sandy.

Numerous FD's and firehouses were damaged and some were destroyed in areas such as Long Island, NYC and New Jersey. Additionally, numerous Firefighters, EMT's and their families have personally suffered major losses.

The Terry Farrell Fund is 100% legit. Your donations WILL directly benefit those Firefighters, their families and fire/EMS departments in immediate and urgent need.

It was established in memory of Terry Farrell, a decorated member of FDNY Rescue 4 and Chief of the Dix Hills (Long Island) VFD. Terry, along with 342 of his brothers, perished on September 11, 2001 in the World Trade Center attack.

"The Fund" assists firefighters and their families with educational, medical and equipment needs in time of need. It DIRECTLY supports Firefighters who serve their communities and "The Fund" has a stellar reputation.

"The Fund" also provides donated usable fire equipment, apparatus and related items to help departments in urgent need - so they can get back to serving their communities. The Terry Farrell Fund is operated predominately by Firefighters along with friends of the Fund and operate on a volunteer basis in order to give back to the firefighting community.

It operates on an annual budget of 1 to 3%. There is NO paid staff, and all of their members are Firefighters and family members who volunteer to make the lives of brothers & sister Firefighters better.
