NFPA 170 gives designers, engineers, architects, and emergency planners key information—including the new symbols for hybrid (water and inert) fire-extinguishing systems that is part of a new NFPA Standard 770, Hybrid Extinguishing Systems.

This standard provides symbology for emergency management mapping and for emergency evacuation diagrams and plans.

The 2024 edition includes:
