Identify potential dangers and help keep your facility safer with the new standard for developing emergency action plans for all-hazard emergencies.
NFPA® 2800, Standard on Facility Emergency Action Plans, guides the creation of emergency action plans (EAPs) to help keep people safe during emergencies in non-industrial facilities with more than 500 persons, such as high-rise buildings, large offices, entertainment venues, and others. The debut 2023 edition addresses duties, requirements, competencies, and qualifications of relevant facility personnel and establishes minimum criteria for EAPs relating to all-hazard emergencies.
Intended as a companion document to NFPA 1082, Standard for Facilities Fire and Life Safety Director Professional Qualifications, NFPA 2800 outlines strategies based on the “TRIP” concept: total evacuation, remain-in-place, in-facility relocation, and partial evacuation.
