2024 changes include:
- Revisions to Chapter 7 concerning podium construction; exterior walls, and updates to reflect the new 2022 edition of ASCE SE17
- Requirements for fire protection systems were updated, and new requirements for carbon monoxide detectors.
- Sprinkler provisions were updated throughout the code
- All parking structures are now required to be sprinklered
- Additional new provisions address cybersecurity, personal use alcohol-based hand-run dispensers, door locking for security, and MAQ for high-hazard contents.
