NFPA^® 610, Guide for Emergency and Safety Operations at Motorsports Venues, reflects the use of the National Incident Management System and presents comprehensive guidelines for implementing safety and emergency response strategies at indoor and outdoor events. A must-have for venue owners, operators, promoters, first responders, insurers, and sanctioning agencies, the 2024 edition helps ensure venue personnel is equipped with the appropriate resources to handle emergencies.

Important changes include:

• Revisions to better address the planning, training, personnel, and equipment for special challenges associated with performance rally, road rally, rally sprint, off-road, and other nontraditional events held in a wide variety of venues, including closed or open public or private roads and public lands
• Updated terminology throughout to be more inclusive of nontraditional events (e.g., “competition area” instead of “track”), to be more consistent across chapters (e.g., “event” versus “incident”), and to correlate with other standards (e.g., “active shooter/hostile event (ASHE)” instead of “terrorist activities”)
• Introduction of a new Annex C to provide a list of personnel training resources
