James H. Blomley

This 1992 book by Mr. Blomley, a master of fire photography, depicts in full color the history of fires in the Boston area during the 50's and 60's, a period in which color photograph was relatively rare.  The book is organized by regions, which include Charlestown, Cambridge, and  Back Bay.  The last chapter is exclusively photographs of fire apparatus which was in use in the Boston area at the time.
