About the Authors: Stephen R. Rementer is a Vietnam combat veteran and 30 year veteran of the Philadelphia Police Department. He is a certified police firearms instructor, SWAT team professional, bomb disposal technician, and industrial radiographer. He has handled 1400 live explosive devices and has successfully completed uncountable tactical assignments in his law enforcement career. He is a licensed blaster and bomb disposal technician in Pennsylvania. Currently, Mr. Rementer is a licensed private detective who specializes in dignitary protection, explosives interdiction, and corporate security consultation. With his wife Linda, he teaches civilians, both corporate and individual, firearms defensive techniques at their Pennsylvania Lethal Weapons Institute. He is also active in training and qualifying security personnel and retired law enforcement professionals. Mr. Rementer is a Glock Certified Armorer and a Smith and Wesson Certified Armorer.

Bruce N. Elmer, Ph.D.is a board certified, licensed clinical psychologist in Pennsylvania. He is a Life Member of the National Rifle Association, an NRA Certified Pistol and Personal Protection Firearms Instructor, and a Glock Certified Armorer. Dr. Eimer is also a contributor to Concealed Carry Magazine, and a member of the International Association of Law Enforcement Firearms Instructors.
