This manual provides information on foam concentrates used for Class A and Class B fires, and Class B liquid spills. Information is also included on foam selection based on various types of hazards, such as structural, wildland, industrial, and transportation.

Also discussed are the various types of foam proportioning equipment, foam delivery systems, including compressed air foam systems, fixed, semifixed, mobile, and portable, and training foams and facilities. A glossary is provided for foam-related terminology.
