A genie appeared in front of a firefighter in the bunk room one day and said: "You are such a good husband, loyal, compassionate, loving, and you never get angry, that I am going to let you give your wife anything she wants, and all you have to do is ask her what material thing she wants more than anything in the world."

"Oh, thanks pal," the firefighter said.

"But, she will get only one pick and before you ask her you have to say "one, two, three." And to make sure she makes only one pick, after she picks she has to say "one, two, three, four" and that will immediately end the magic."

"No problem," the firefighter said, "10-4."

The firefighter then went home and found his wife reading the newspaper. "Sweetheart," he said, "I have the greatest surprise, so think of a new Caddy. One, two, three........just say what you want more than anything in the world."

The firefighter's wife folded the paper, looked up at him quizzically, and said, "What is the one, two, three for?" (Dennis Smith, FDNY, Retired, founder of Firehouse Magazine)
